Who We Are:

Appal Market is an online retail boutique featuring small mountain businesses and artisans from Appalachia. We love to offer products designed by and for Mountain Folk! Our home team is located in the eastern coalfields of Kentucky near the tri state area that includes southern West Virginia and southwestern Virginia. 

Our boutique is the online division of CM Wholesale in Pike County. Sometimes your invoice or shipping and packing lists may reflect this. 

About Our Products:

Most of our products are currently custom designs (including our own original artworks and graphics) which are professionally applied to home goods, apparel and other merchandise.

Some of our items are hand finished right in Appalachia while others are completed by print labs across the US and internationally. You can find details about which items are hand finished vs professionally machined in our item details. 

Custom Design Work: 

We do offer custom and personalized designs on many of our products! Some customizations are even free. Just message our design team by using the site chat or email us using the contact form and we will get back to you as soon as possible and usually within 48 hours. 

Our founding team is located in the Appalachian foothills on the border of Eastern Kentucky and Southwest Virginia.

Shipping Rates and Carriers

At Appal Market, we like things simple, and we want our shipping to be as simple and affordable as possible for you. That's why many of our products are shipped for free to US mainland addresses with our economy option! These items will say FREE ECONOMY DELIVERY in the description and will arrive by the cheapest delivery option available to us. Items that ship from US warehouses are typically described as such in the item description. 

However, because our manufacturers and artisans ship from different locations, and because some of our items weigh more than others, we sometimes must charge an additional shipping fee. We also are able to offer upgraded shipping for only some of our items. If available, you will have the option to add upgraded shipping during checkout.

 

Shipping Times

Our catalog includes many custom-made products that are often created for us by various manufacturers and they ship in separate packages. Please read each of your items' descriptions carefully to get an estimated delivery window for each of your purchases. 

On our site we use multiple terms when explaining shipping. Please refer to these definitions to better understand our shipping process:

Production Time:

The production time is the window between when your place your order until when the item is shipped from our warehouses. The time is typically 5-7 business days, but it is estimated and sometimes may be extended for specific items or during Holidays (both domestic and international). 

Shipping Time: 

Shipping time is the window that is anticipated for your item to travel from warehouse to your door. This window does not include production time and due to different mail carriers, this window is not always able to be guaranteed. If you need an item by a certain date, be sure to double check the shipping estimate to insure on time delivery. 

ETA or Estimated Delivery Time of Arrival:

When an ETA is listed on an item, this window includes estimated delivery to your door including both the item's production time and shipping time combined. As always, the date is estimated. 

Local Delivery and Pickup

For our local eastern Kentucky, southern West Virginia and southwestern Virginia patrons, we also offer store pickup, meet up and delivery options on some of our handcrafted and in stock merchandise.
